While on the beach playing football with some friends, Paul hears a warning yelled out from behind him. "Watch out!" the voice screams. To see what is happening, my happy husband turns around (with a big grin on his face) only to take a major hit to the mouth by a Frisbee. I was busy talking with the girls, when out of the corner of my eye, I see Paul spitting out blood. To my horror it wasn't only blood coming out of his mouth, but chunks of tooth. Yup! Chunks of tooth. I immediately assume the worst. First thought in my head, How much is this going to cost, ( we had just taken a few other blows to the wallet as well) second thought, oh that's my husband. Maybe I should go see if he's ok. After stewing about it for about 30 min, which felt like 4 hours, our friend who is a dentist doing a oral surgery residency, took Paul to a store and bought him a little do it yourself dental kit. It held well enough to take the pain away for the night, till we could get to a Dentist the next day. A friend of a friend has a dental practice near by and took Paul in. Still hurt the wallet, but not as bad as it could have.
