Don't fight with tables

While getting kids ready for a bath (yes they were running around like crazy people) Bryant decided to trip and Superman dive into to corner of the table. I didn't even turn around because I was changing a poopy diaper, but Paul saw the whole thing. He was crying and covering his head so Paul just calmly tells him to come over to him. After turning around and uncovering his head, Ive never seen Paul run so fast. The blood was just pouring out of his head, as head wounds do. I had to quickly dress both kids while Paul held on to his head to stop some bleeding. We jumped in the car for our 4 hour ER stay. By the time we got there, the bleeding was under control and it didn't even look like it was that bad. That is until the Dr. came in and squished it open to see how deep it was. It was at least a half inch deep. 4 stitches it was. They burrito wrapped him in a sheet and gave him the litocain. As you can imagine, he screamed through that part, but before they even started stitching you could hear snoring coming from under the blanket. He was out through the whole rest. We bandaged him up like a wounded soldier and home we went. It was 11 before we got home and the poor little guys were fast asleep before you know it. I think he learned a valuable lesson. Don't fight with a table...you will lose.

Thew best picture of the stitches we could get

Right after he got them out he still didn't want to be without a band aide so the doc drew a smiley with a cut over the eye for him. He loved it and wore it for 3 days.

I know hard to see it, but this is it all better 7 days later!

A much happier buddy!
