My first Miami Shooting

So here in exotic Miami there are about a million shootings a day. Ok....at least one or two. Today I was at the scary Walmart with the kids. When I went to pull out of the parking lot to go home, there were 3 or 4 gun shots that went off right behind our car. When I looked in the rear view mirror I saw people running all over the place. Running literally for their lives. As I drove on, scared to death, About 30 cop cars raced by. Well that night on the news I saw what happened. Across the street from where I was turning, there is a barber shop. It was being robbed and the robbers were shooting randomly, outside, all over the place. Only one guy was hit thankfully. He was just shot in the leg and will recover just fine. Just thought I would share my first close encounter with a shooting. Love you all and hope all you Miamians stay safe and sound and stay clear of the 163rd Walmart. Someone is bound to be killed there.

Oh my gosh. That's nuts. People always ask where the "safe" areas are here - I'm convinced that there really aren't any. It just seems like statistically, at some point wherever you live there will be something bad happen.

What the heck were you doing at THAT Walmart?? I always hated going to that one. I liked the one on 440 better...is that even the right street? Man, I've only been gone from Miami like 7 months and I can't even remember street names? So sad!
