Since white coat...

Since we had white coat, Paul went on to finish finals and start his break. After all that studying for boards and then for finals they give them the whole month of August off. We had a long list of things to get done and things we wanted to do before he goes back.
First on the list was to get a van. Yes we decided to upgrade, more we had to with number 3 on the way and Bryant starting school. Twice a week I will need to drive Paul and his carpool group to Barry and while doing that I can drop Bryant off at school (they are right by each other) and then run errands until Bryant is out of school, run home put Briley to nap, entertain the masses for a while and then head back to Barry to get the guys. My days will finally be very scheduled and I'm very excited.
Anyway, we ended up getting a Pearl colored 2005 Honda Odyssey Touring with Black interior. It comes with a navigation system, DVD fold down, 6 CD disc changer and lots of nice other features. The kids have loved it, but I think I love it most. Thanks mom and dad!
My little Bryant starts preschool on the 23rd. He is going to the same school as 5 other kids from our playgroup so the transition should be less of a blow to him. He loves that type of setting, but still doesn't like to go places if mommy isn't going too. It is a private school so I'll have to post a first day picture of him in his uniform.
My birthday was the 13Th which fell on a Friday this year. Paul had an opportunity to go to Pittsburgh for a Podiatrist Conference the same weekend so we celebrated my birthday on the 11Th. It may as well have been Friday the 13Th. We drove down to Key Biscayne to check out some of the beaches. We found this one called Virginia Beach right by Crandon Park. We got out and walked around and found this great playground for the kids to play with some nice surrounding benches in the shade for Paul and I to relax. Well before long Bryant was screaming that something had bitten him. We didn't see anything so we shrugged it off. Walking over by the playground he started again and my foot started hurting. Looked down to find my foot covered in red ants. Bryant's too. Lets just say we left as quick as we got there and our feet stung all the way home. Paul was a champ though and spoiled me all day. Love you!
On my actual birthday some of my friends came over for dinner and to hang out a bit. Bryant lost his voice right as people were getting to our house. I thought it was a little funny, but went on to have a great time. As people were leaving and I was getting ready to put the kids down, Bryant started wheezing like never before. I got him calmed down and sent him to bed. About half way through the movie "Date Night" Bryant wakes up gasping for air. Scared me half to death. I called my neighbor in a panic and he came down to watch Briley for me while I took Bryant in. The ER gave him a breathing treatment and 2 shots of steroids. They told me he had a bad case of croup and that his throat was trying to swell shut. Scary again! He calmed down though and is doing well now. Happy birthday to me. haha!
Before Bryant and Paul go back to school we are planning on driving all the way down the keys and stopping off to see the sites. Stay tuned and sorry this was so long. Hope everyone else is having a great August.

Happy birthday! Sorry it had to end at the ER. Our family was all knocked out on the couch that day sick too so sorry I missed it! Jealous of the new ride!

I was in the ER with Samantha two weeks ago. She woke up, not breathing well. It was crupe as well. An oral steroid worked for her.
