Why don't mother's vaccinate their children? Remember when making medical decisions like this, think with factual data, not on emotions. Should we worry about your child getting autism from vaccinations. Thimerosal is no longer being put in most vaccinations as a safety precaution. You have a much greater chance of acquiring the disease you are not vaccinating against than becoming autistic from getting a vaccination. Any opinions on this? Is it criminal for a parent to not vaccinate their child and make them susceptible to the condition?

They still have thimerosol in flu shots (luckily my doctor has non-thimerosol version but it's more expensive). My cousin's baby absolutely became autistic from vaccinations (they've mapped his genes and done tons of testing and he can't detox the heavy metals - like thimerosol, but it was back in the big thimerosol days), but we all still believe in vaccinating. I just separate mine because it's a LOT for those little bodies to handle at once and you never know what kind of things they're susceptible to. But I think it's selfish for people not to vaccinate. Because a lot of them reason that they don't need to vaccinate because everyone else does so those diseases won't be a problem. Why is this on your mind anyway?
I think it's totally up to the parents. I have a friend who doesn't fully vaccinate her children. They have both had such horrible reactions to the vaccinations that thier doctor told her she could skip them for right now. Brooklyn is fully up to date on her vaccinations though. I think with my medical history, I would be just plain stupid to not get my kids vaccinated. Like I said before though, it's personal choice of the parents. Just do the factual research first and be smart about it either way.
Nice to see your blog!! I can't believe how big your kids are. My goodness!
I'm all for vaccinating. I just think it's silly not to. Period.
Where are you guys living now?
Duh, I just read the title of your blog again. =)
I did a big research paper in my final semester of school on this subject. Results??? Vaccinations do not cause autism...now according to Jen her cousin became autistic due to vaccinations and if that's true then that baby is a rare one. Most of the time if vaccinations are the cause of autism it is actually due to an underlying condition in the child (such as what Jen said about that baby not being able to detox well). So I am for vaccinations; however, I do think we give children an awful lot of them at once though.
Hey Nik`! How are you? I agree with what Jen said. Since my little bro is Autistic, I take extra precautions with the vaccinations- some say there is a link, some dont believe there is... Who really knows? I vaccinate my boys, I just split them up- so instead of getting 4 at one time, I get 2. Its just hard to believe there is not a link when you have heard so many peoples stories about vaccinations-I think if a child gets vaccinated and they are diagnosed with autism shortly after- they had something already in them that the vaccinations brought out.
